My work has focus on investing abstract forms with animation, posture, gesture, balance and social interaction with other surrounding forms. The relationship of these forms to the human figure is primary but I have always tried to keep alive the integrity of their own internal language, what Wallace Stevens called ‘the object at the exactest point at which it is itself.” The dynamic between works in two and three dimensions has kept my practice diverse as I shuttle between drawing, painting and sculpture.
